Updated Call for Papers for Advances in Descriptive Psychology Volume 9.
(posted on October 3, 2008)

Since my last posting of information, I have been fortunate in having both Fernand Lubuguin and Wynn Schwartz join me as co-editors of this volume. In discussions among us and with Tony Putman, our publisher at DPP, we have arrived at new deadlines for submission that will work both for our editorial team and for Tony.

Deadline for receipt of manuscript: December 15, 2008.

Letter/email of intent: Please submit by March 1, 2008 a statement of your intended paper title, co-authors, expected ms length (in double-spaced pages or # of words).

Please send all emails and your ms to me at daviske010@gmail.com.

As our previous posting indicated, we want to use this volume to emphasize advances in DP that are responsive to Peter’s wishes that we go beyond what he had done and focus on steps taken to increase behavior potential or invent new social practices. “Invent a new social practice” might set the bar too high. Think of significant modifications of existing practices, new twists in their application or understanding, and new populations to which the practices have been applied. We remain open to papers that seek to place DP within contemporary intellectual history and explicate the range of connections that DP has to other disciplines.

The volume is open to any member or interested party bringing Descriptive Psychology concepts and tools to bear on a problem or set of problems.

Those of you who have shared drafts of papers previously or discussed your intent to submit, please renew that intention with an email to me. We need to know that you are committed to working with me and our co-editors during the period of time from January 1 to June 30, 2009 to produce the best volume of Advances thus far.
